SGE#2 Why College?

The past few weeks I have really been thinking about why I am in college. originally I planed on going for sports but... I got hurt. So what am I still doing here? come to think of it I dont know. so I began to talk to different people about myself and really who I want to become I have some ideas but nothing solid. my indecisiveness has pulled me from one idea to the next. Why not quit school and travel? buy a one way ticket to unknown and just live take the money you have go as far as you want and just live. personal I was thinking about doing that and going to Europe just backpack a crossed the continent getting jobs when I need to, or i could find a better job really dedicate my self to it and move up and gain some experience, It changes daily. currently im thinking about getting a associates in architectural drafting. now comes the question for you. Why are you in college? what is your aim in life? leave your thoughts below

  1. I am (still changin) the person that thinks college is just what you were supposed to do after highschool to get the job you want. But a few weeks ago my psychology was talking to me and said that "if you think that why you will not get much out of it and the experience will be waisted. You need a new perspective, one that views college as a way to better yourself." since then ive been trying to change my views and it has really helped me realize why im still in school. Maybe all you need is a new perspective and not to waist this chance and experience.

  2. I agree with Austin, it all depends on your perspective while attending. Personally, the only reason I'm still in college is mostly because my dad forces me too but even if he wasn't there to force me I think I would still end up coming sooner or later because I want my life to be easy. A nine-five job, high income, nice house, car, a stable living environment for my future family. But on the other hand, I completely agree with you. If I wasn't still underage I would just pack up my stuff & go MIA, I wouldn't tell anybody where I was going, I probably wouldn't even know, just wherever life takes me. I think if you truly feel like that, then do it. Do what makes YOU happy. Being stuck somewhere doing something you don't enjoy is no way to live life. But yourself first. Just my thoughts.
